...that Thanksgiving is this week?!?! It seems like time just keeps slipping away and it goes by so quickly without even a thought. Wednesday we're getting together at my aunt and uncles for our annual pie making tradition. J really loves making the crusts, E does one and that's more than enough for him - then he plays on the computer for most of the time which is in the same family room/dining room. I am thinking of making this http://www.jif.com/Recipes/Details.aspx?recipeID=419 it looks delicious. Then we're going to sleep over at Jay and Andrea's. The kids only have 2 days of school this week, they're excited.

I've been randomly thinking about Adam lately. He and I weren't the closest of friends but we always managed to be good at talking when we did see one another. It's been months since his death. He is the 4th person from my hs class to have died. His death was the one that hit me the hardest though.

Life and death,

Does anyone besides myself read this thing? It's nice to have an outlet to express what my mind wants to reveal but it's nice to have feedback every now and then as well. That's what else my mind reveals. I was going to try to write here every day but then the kids got sick and I lost some of my energy. Maybe I'll find another place to write, who knows.

Some nights I have the oddest dreams. I tell you, it's either old boyfriends or college friends or sometimes people from high school. Or randomly it'll be all of them mixed together. Yesterday I found an old boyfriend on facebook, through a friend of a friend. It's just weird if you ask me. I almost wanted to friend him, but then I thought that would be awkward and whatnot. Then again who knows. We're both different people now and I'm much more secure than I was then 15 years ago, or am I?

So it has been eons since I wrote. Every once in a while I think that I want to sit down and write but then that decision comes and goes. Well today I realized that I wanted to try picking this up again and really stick to it for a while.
I have been reliving some of my past especially since I've obsessively started rewatching old shows on hulu- one unparticular "My So-Called Life." It brings me back to high school without me actually having to go back there. In a way, it feels good. I think about the people that have come and gone in my life and although there is a twinge of uneasiness or something that might make me sit and cry, I smile and remember it with contentment.

Saturday was Julianna's birthday- now she's 4!! I can't believe how quickly time flies, it was just yesterday I was bringing my little princess home.
So on Sat. we went to a park in RI with my mom and a good friend, Edd, and had a grand old time...lunching, running around, playing on the playground, checking out the art museum, the boys play tennis, lounging, and then dessert and duck, duck, goose. Then we headed home for cupcakes.

Then yesterday, to continue with Julianna's celebration of the weekend, we headed off to another park as there was only one quick thundershower and then it became a gorgeous day, go figure. We were originally going to have her party then but the weather was looking awful so we postponed it to a later date...if we hadn't postponed it would've been awful but oh well. So we met up with a punkymama,Val and family, and spent a lovely time with the kids running about and it was a lot of fun!! More pictures, more fun.

Since my mom and Linda can't make it to Julianna's party over the weekend we had an early shindig for her and also got some presents sent from a friend who can't make it either...the birthday girl enjoyed digging into her cake and dressed up in her leotard and tutu immediately and put on some wonderful dancing for us all...

The kids and I spent all of yesterday outside blowing bubbles, playing hopscotch, and Evan decided he should climb all the trees in our yard. I heart my new camera I got for my birthday, it really rocks!! Yay.

So I began my new job!!
Last Friday was my first night where I filled out paperwork and hung out in the mobile department just shadowing and watching and it was pretty dead, there was barely anyone in the store which made the night really drag.
Then for the rest of the weekend I went for 2 8 hour training classes where I had to travel to a hotel for the first day and then yesterday to the main office. We get paid for travel time AND mileage which is awesome plus on Sunday's it's time and a half. It's cramming a usual 5 days of material into 4 days. They fed us well which was a plus but they made for very long days where we had to try to take in a LOT of stuff. There was a rep from Sprint on Sunday and then on Saturday AT&T and Verizon will talk to us. I shadowed again this Monday and will again on Friday night just to get a feel for how things go. Also I got my employee numbers and started setting stuff up which was cool. This Sunday we have to take a test which we have to get atleast a 75% on in order to be able to represent the Mobile dept. That's the one thing I'm dreading.
So that's the update of work with me...

It almost feels like a truck hit me in the head today. Ugh.
I love my new camera, it rocks - Shane and my mom went in together and bought me a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H9 and it is grand. So now I can do both digital and manual photgraphy minus the film. yay.
Tonight is the final Pack Meeting and cross over ceremony for Cub Scouts.
I need a nap and I will take one before the kids are done with school today.

So today is my 31st birthday...later Shane and I are joining our local p.m. family (Val and her dh) for a kiddo free dinner outing. Hopefully Julianna will feel better by then b/c she was up most of the night feverish and pukey. For the moment she's just laying on the couch vegging and watching movies. I'm sleepy so I'll veg right along with her.

Hooray, the upstairs bathroom has been begun!!!! The upper walls are a lavendar purple and the bottom part of the wall is a rusty reddish-orange. We haven't completely decided on a trim color yet but I think we might go with a tannish color, we'll go get some paints we already have re-tinted. The top wall and ceiling was finished yesterday and Shane plans on replacing the windows and light when he gets home later today. He still needs to put in a new medicine cabinet and I'm gonna paint the outside of the tub. That's gonna happen tomorrow before Evan's soccer game.

Evan got a scholarship to go to art camp for a week!!! yay yay yay. I had to write a mini essay about how he is invovled with art and why we needed financial assistance and we got the money awarded! I'm so happy for him. And hopefully he'll get the aid to go to cub scout camp too and he'll go to Y camp through a campership as well so he's got a fun filled summer ahead. We're gonna have Julianna take a break from preschool for the summer months b/c the only reason she's been able to go is thanks to my mom helping pay. I think it'll be a good break.

I can't believe my "baby" is 8 today. It seems like just yesterday that Evan was born. Today he brought brownies in to share with his class and tonight we're going bowling and out to eat. Sunday is his party at the Y with a gymnastics theme. We're gonna make cupcakes. Yay for my incredible 8 year old, it's crazy how fast time flies. When we moved into our house he was 20 months old, now he's 8.

I too moved around many times throughout my life...
I was born in Massachusetts and we moved to Orlando,FL when I was 7 months old and lived there for a year and a half. We moved back to Massachusetts and then when I was 3 we moved to Stoddard, NH for a little over a year. We then moved back to Massachusetts (Arlington to be exact) and lived at my grandfather's house (he was living in Virginia I think, you know I never really knew why). We lived there for a few years until my parents got divorced when I was 8. We moved to an apartment in a duplex house in Arlington, MA and only stayed there I want to say for a year or so. Then we moved in with a friend into this really cool house in Woburn, MA. The owner/landlady was really old and she died before we had lived in the house for a year. We then moved into a new apartment that was in a duplex, also in Woburn. I began going to school that year (1988, I was home schooled up until then). We lived there for a year and moved to Acton, MA with my mom's new girlfriend. We lived there through all of jr. high and then her gf got a new teaching job and my mom began working in Dedham and we moved to Needham where I spent 4 years in high school at. After that they broke up, she moved again, I went to college for a year and lived on campus but then did poorly and moved back in with my mom who also had moved away from Needham. I was in and out between there and a friend's place. The next year Shane and I lived together in Brighton, MA with some roomates. For the summer we both lived at my mom's. In September we rented an apartment in Somerville, MA. Evan was born and we moved back in with my mom for the next year and then we bought our house. There were problems with the p&s so we lived with our friendsin Canton for a few months but then we moved in to our Attleboro house in 2001 and have lived here ever since. This is the longest I have ever lived anywhere. We plan on trying to sell our house within the next 2 years to build a log home somewhere in Southern NH, I told Shane that is the last time I'm ever moving again.

Julianna woke me up at around 4:30 to go to the bathroom. Terrific right? Well actually it is but that's besides the point. Well it took me forever to fall back to sleep and when I did it was a very very deep sleep. Evan woke up and said he was going downstairs- I looked at the clock and saw that it was 7:34, we usually go out for the bus at 7:38 so that gives us 4 minutes to get ready!!! I made him a very quick thrown together lunch, gave him a pop tart, put my coat over my pj's and we made it out right when the bus was pulling onto our street!! GO US!

Julianna and I were baking the other day, she decided we NEEDED to have cookies. So we made Vanilla Chip Island Cookies.

So, I spilled some flaked coconut and as I was going to clean it up Julianna turned and says "Oh shit!" very loudly. Shane turned and was like "what'd you say?!" Her response "I said OH SHIT!" I tried so hard not to laugh and he was like um you should say some other word instead and I left the room to giggle hard.
